TheraBase Ca – Self Adhesive Calcium Releasing Base/Liner: TheraBase Ca is a dual-cure, calcium releasing, self adhesive base/liner. Utilising the THERA technology, TheraBase Ca chemically bonds to tooth structure, and releases and recharges calcium ions.* TheraBase Ca has high calcium ion release, generating an alkaline pH which promotes pulp vitality and will polymerise in deep restorations where light cannot reach. TheraBase Ca is stronger than other base materials, glass ionomers and resin-modified glass ionomers.* Additionally, it is radiopaque allowing for easy identification on radiographs, providing quick and effective diagnosis. TheraBase Ca Benefits: Releases calcium, self adhesive, high flexural strength, high compressive strength, contains MDP, easy to use, dual cured, alkaline pH, high degree of conversion and radiopaque.

Fig 1 After cavity prepara tion, all water was removed using a stream of air, leaving the surface visibly moist. TheraCal LC was applied on small pulp exposure and lightcured for 20 seconds.

Fig 2 TheraBase was applied to the dentin surface of the prepared cavity directly from the dispensing syringe.

Fig 3 TheraBase was light cured for 20 seconds. If desired, TheraBase can be allowed to self-cure for 5 minutes.
